History: The Hannya mask is one of many masks used in Japanese Noh theater. This particular mask is meant to represent an expression of jealousy, sorrow, and anger.

1. Though I chose to use a metallic thread, using a standard rayon or polyester will enhance the differences in sheen between textures, making the design more dimensional. Try a range of colors- looks great in dark tones, too!
