Title: Ostrich Feather
History: Digitized from a photo in a 1920’s book on millinery. This design has appeared in the pages of Stitches Magazine as part of the ‘Electric Youth’ photo shoot.
Color Changes w/suggested colors:
01 – All – Dark Plum (The image is photographed in dark plum, but this design works well in any color- I suggest rich, jewel-toned metallics!)
Tips:
1. For the look that graced the pages of Stitches, layer 2 instances of this design in 2 colors at different angles- for longer elements or borders, layer several. Playing with color ranges and layering adds dimension and interest!

This design was used in a custom coat that I made and I was able to adjust the size and layer the design with great ease. There were no thread breaks even with the dramatic increase in the file on my end (30%). Great density and nice column stitch down the center for increase depth.
